Kate Smith is nothing if not determined.

Born with a rare eye disease, she is blind in her right eye. While competing as Miss Dunn in the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant in 2015, she based her platform on awareness and funding for the condition. She won. And proudly represented her state as Kate Peacock in the Miss America Pageant.

Kate also graduated from Meredith College. But a funny thing happened on the way to becoming an elementary school teacher. She fell in love with real estate. First, she went to work as an assistant for a Raleigh firm and then earned her real estate license while still a college senior. It didn’t take Kate long to soar in the business and establish herself as a multimillion-dollar producer – with transactions from Raleigh to Fayetteville.

Like everything she does, Kate approaches real estate with integrity, smarts and dogged determination. She really cares about her clients – and elevates quick response times to an art.

She is based at the national award-winning Coldwell Banker Advantage in Fayetteville, home of Fort Bragg. Whether buying your first or 10^th home, or looking to sell a property, Kate is eager to serve your best interests. She is especially passionate about new construction.

Ask what she loves most about her career, and Kate will say meeting and getting to know all kinds of people. 

“I am from Spivey’s Corner, a really small community … with one stoplight and everyone knows everyone. I remember going to a listing appointment back home and the sweet elderly couple had a glass of sweet tea and some cornbread on the table. I sat there for almost three hours! I love taking my small-town ‘heart’ to every couple and family I encounter,” she says.

At their own home in Fayetteville, Kate is a mom to Lexie and wife to Alden. The family also has two lovable dogs, Bailey and Scout.

When asked to describe herself in five words, Kate responds: “Determined, hardworking, kind, caring, realist.”
